July 11 to August 4 2015

A month in a tin shepherd's hut on Iona might sound like an ideal retreat from the buzz of everyday life, and a wonderful opportunity to concentrate on the land and the sea, to focus on her art - but the month was February of this year, and Sarah Keast found that nature had a lot to say for itself! During the month the weather threw all it could at the island, with wind, rain, mist, snow and extraordinary high tide all manifest over a period of a few days. The shoreline changes, the calm seas erupt, wind lashes the young trees and grasses - and through drawing and walking every day Sarah recorded what she experienced. These memories, photographs and drawings have all informed the prints and constructions she brings to The Line as Iona Focus, a varied and thought provoking exhibition we know will interest many. Do come along and see for yourself!
