Contemplation
In this exhibition we have taken advantage of one of the delights of running your own gallery, and have selected work by an artist which really does get our spririts up and our blood racing. Lorna Pirrie uses family snapshots as the basis, often the literal basis, from which she draws out and creates deceptively straightforward panels and frames. But there is more than meets the eye in these pieces - the everyday masks a subversive narrative and we are only given hints.
