The Line is delighted to show a new collection of work by printmaker Louise Scott to open this, our 31st , new season of exhibitions in Linlithgow
"Louise's exhibition, a testament to her fascination with marine charts,
Victorian zoology, and the spirit of exploration, is deeply informed by the
local connection to Sir Charles Wyville Thomson, the Linlithgow-born
scientist who spearheaded the HMS Challenger expedition. This multi-faceted
exploration manifests in works that seamlessly integrate copper, salvaged objects,
and pressed lichens, pushing the boundaries of Louise's practice beyond
printmaking into the realms of collage and sculpture."
