Champfleurie - French for 'flowering fields', dates back to the 15th century and is said to have been given by Mary Queen of Scots, who is reputed to often have visited the estate. The legend is that the Queen herself, when visiting for the first time, exclaimed "C'est un vrai champfleuri!", thereby giving it it's name.
